On October 24th, 2025, we did something special. We invited journalists and creators from all over the world to our home, Prague, for a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience. Using the largest LED DOME in all of Europe, we hosted the first event of its kind in the history of consumer 3D printing.

We had the perfect backdrop to show where we’re going as a company. Our team has grown to over 1200 members, and we’ve officially opened 3 new massive factories, including one in Delaware, USA. We’ve been truly hard at work, and now, with the press embargo lifted, we can finally share all of the amazing announcements with you, too!

You can watch the recording of the event in its entirety. Below, you’ll also find a summary of everything we’ve revealed and presented.

As always, we like to make things ourselves, so you’ll hear from me and my team – real 3D printing enthusiasts instead of professional hosts. I think it’s way more authentic this way, and much closer to our spirit. 🙂

Think Big, Print Big: Introducing the Prusa CORE One L!

This is the larger sibling to our proven Prusa CORE One. We doubled the print volume (now 300x300x330 mm) and made the printer itself only 10% larger. The centerpiece is the brand-new AC convection heatbed. It’s a thick block of aluminum for flawless, uniform heat distribution (less than ±2°C variance), killing cold corners and print warping. Its underside fans also actively heat the chamber to a stable 60°C, making it perfect for advanced materials. And we went above and beyond with safety and security. It’s a true “Unpack & Print” machine.

Security First: The Prusa CORE One L Critical Infrastructure Edition

We’ve always taken security seriously, but for enterprise, government, and defense sectors, data security is non-negotiable. We are now offering a special, fully air-gapped version of our new printer. This edition features a custom-manufactured mainboard with no Wi-Fi connector or related circuitry. It ships without a camera and comes with an encrypted, certified USB drive and letters of volatility to meet the strictest security requirements. It’s the same performance, with total offline security.

Unlocking Silicone Printing for the Mases

This is a true game-changer. In partnership with the startup Filament2, we’re bringing a revolutionary plug-n-play toolhead to the Original Prusa XL. This new toolhead features a precision mixing nozzle designed to print with 2-part liquid materials, starting with real, heat-resistant silicone. What looks like a traditional filament is actually a hollow tube filled with liquid – routed into the Nextruder and deposited just like normal 3D printing. The true power is unleashed by the XL’s tool-changing capability: for the first time, you can combine traditional FDM printing with flexible silicone printing in a single, seamless job. This opens up a whole new world of applications. There is no compromise, no “close to”, no “almost like”. The XL prints real silicone at a fraction of the price of industrial machines.

Introducing the OpenPrintTag Standard

Most spools on the market today have no way to communicate with a 3D printer. A handful of “smart” spools do exist, but it’s a Wild West of proprietary, cloud-dependent, and locked-down systems. It’s like with ink cartridges for 2D printers. Or – imagine if every 3D printer manufacturer used a different filament diameter. Crazy? But the situation with smart spools is actually pretty close.

We are proud to present OpenPrintTag: a fully open-source standard that is free for everyone to use and build upon. It’s based on three pillars:

  1. Offline-first: The tag itself is writable. This is the key. It’s not just an ID; all essential data – material, color, and even the exact remaining filament is stored directly on the tag. Your printer doesn’t need a constant cloud connection to be smart.
  2. Fully Open-Source: The standard is public, with no license fees. Anyone can use it, build on it, and expand it. No walled gardens, no vendor lock-in.
  3. Reusable: The tag is rewritable. When a spool is empty, you can peel the tag off, stick it on any filament you own, and flash it with your phone. Instantly, your old spools are smart, too.

It’s essentially a circular NFC antenna that fits on a filament spool. It’s cheap and reliable, works reliably even far away from the reader, in any orientation.

Our Spools Just Got Smarter (and Better!)

To solve the “chicken-and-egg” problem of adopting a new standard, a major manufacturer has to lead the way. So, here we are. Starting today, every new Prusament spool we manufacture will include an OpenPrintTag. And we’re not alone; we already have partners at other major companies who are testing or have shown interest in OpenPrintTag. Our strategy for the coming weeks is to phase out the old spools using nice discounts in our Black Friday deal. As the stock of old spools goes out, we will update the entire portfolio of our materials and colors to the new spool equipped with the OpenPrintTag, getting millions of OpenPrintTags in circulation.

We took this opportunity to completely redesign the spool. It’s now 3mm slimmer (compatible with all multi-color systems on the market) and made from recycled polycarbonate. We’ve replaced the old paper core with a new twist and lock mechanism, making it heat-resistant up to 100°C for easy drying and enabling refills faster than ever.Discounted Prusament spools (without OpenPrintTag)

The Most Beautiful Printer We Have Ever Built

For a long time, I wondered: how to design a printer you would want to have in your living room? Not just tolerate it, but to display it proudly – and when somebody comes to visit, they won’t even know at first it’s a 3D printer. This project was years in the making, and went through dozens of iterations. And finally, here it is.

The Signature Oak.

This is where 128 years of woodworking tradition meet the future of 3D printing. The perfect blend of nature and technology. You know, my father was a carpenter, and my brother and I spent our childhood around his workshop. I got in touch with Jelínek (est. 1897), a woodworking company, whose owner knew my father. And we started talking. As you can imagine, this is a very personal project. It’s a limited run (only 250 units) of the most beautiful 3D printer we have ever made.

First Reveal of PrusaSlicer 3.0

During the presentation, we have also teased the first three screenshots from PrusaSlicer 3.0 and gave a bit of insight about the development. If you watch the recording of Prusa Day, you will even get a hint about our new favorite feature. But this is also what we will leave you with – three teasers. Grab your magnifying glass and start guessing what’s new! 😉
