Once again, the Prusament brand is one year older, and what a year it was! We released many new products and managed to gear up for even faster expansion in the near future. We celebrate every anniversary with a fancy limited filament color, and this year is no exception of course. We’re also adding samples, refills, and 2 kg spools of some existing filaments to our portfolio. Stay tuned for all the details!
Prusament PLA Radiant Sky
Alright, let’s start right away with the icing on our birthday cake: the limited anniversary Prusament everyone is surely waiting for. At first glance, Prusament PLA Radiant Sky may slightly resemble the existing PLA Royal Blue, but there is also a green, purple, and silver glitter which gives it a sheen similar to Galaxy and Mystic Prusaments. The deep blue color was inspired by a clear twilight sky during the late autumn and winter seasons.
As always, the spool sides are distinguished from regular Prusaments – in this case, one side is transparent clear, and the other is the usual black.
We’ve manufactured just one thousand numbered spools of this unique Prusament, every spool has its unique number (1-1000). If you like the color, get it before they’re gone! The 1 kg spool of the PLA Radiant Sky costs 43.99 USD / 39.99 EUR (VAT incl.).
To prevent scalpers from ruining the fun for everyone, each account can only buy one Prusament Radiant Sky PLA spool.

What happened during the past year?
Since the last anniversary, we launched multiple new products worth mentioning:
- rPLA Natural Pigments – Our new line of recycled PLA filaments colored by various waste byproducts. These materials have a lesser ecological impact and their nice subtle colors are suitable especially for various home decor purposes.
- Prusament Woodfill Linden Light – This filament uses the natural byproducts of the wood processing industry. Compared to other woodfill products on the market, the Prusament Woodfill Linden Light offers much easier printability (for instance, it doesn’t need a larger diameter and/or hardened nozzle).
- New Prusament Resin colors – We keep expanding the color options of our resin products. The Model Resin is now available also in Neutral Beige, Ultra Violet, and Transparent Clear; and we added Gingiva Mask and Anatomic Red variants of the Flex Resin. Both these colors are perfect for printing dental and anatomical models.
- Prusament Resin Model Color Kit – A couple of weeks ago, we released this cool kit, which contains almost all colors imaginable. It comes with a whole set of accessories, a sample book, and an online calculator which will help you mix resin of almost any color you want.
- Prusament PEI 1010 – This industrial-level filament material has been in stock since two weeks ago. It comes with a tensile strength similar to aluminum; and very high temperature (~ 200 °C) and chemical resistance. It is compatible with our Prusa Pro HT90 printer.

By the way, the Prusament portfolio will soon reach the landmark of 100 different filaments. Right now, we are at 92…or 93? We are already losing count! 😅 The resin lineup is also growing steadily, with 30 different products available to date. Speaking about our portfolio, we now have a whole catalog with a short description and example photos of each material. We take the printed version to events, the most recent PDF version is available here on prusament.com.
Expanding our manufacturing capacity!
Our Prusa Polymers team is currently moving to a whole new, dedicated building here in Prague, just 10 minutes from our Prusa headquarters, as we simply couldn’t fit in there. Finally, it means there will be almost no limits to our rapid growth – at least for the near future! We are already setting up multiple new extrusion lines, and there is still plenty of room for further expansion. This means we will be able to keep the existing products more steadily in stock, and also come up more often with new colors and materials!
Our new extrusion lines
Filament samples, refills, and 2 kg spools
To give you more options for some of our existing products, we are now adding Prusament samples, 6 more refill variants, and four new versions of 2 kg spools.
The samples will be available for almost every Prusament color and material we sell. They should help you with decision-making when considering various colors or material properties, before buying the whole spool. Each Prusament sample has a 25g weight and can be bought in our e-shop. We won’t list them all here as there are too many materials and colors but here are at least the most common materials: PLA, PETG, ASA. The prices start at 2.19 USD / 1.99 EUR (VAT incl.) per package.
The refill spools are probably a well-known product already – these are just filaments winded on a paper spool without the plastic sides. You can attach the sides from any empty spool you have used up earlier. Here’s a short guide on how to do it, in case you haven’t done it yet. Don’t worry, it’s super easy.
New Prusament Refill variants: PLA Vanilla White (in the picture above), PLA Jet Black, PLA Galaxy Silver, PETG Galaxy Black, PETG Urban Grey, PETG Signal White
Now, we’re launching three new colors for PLA and three for PETG. The PLA refill spools can be bought here, one spool will cost you 26.99 USD / 27.99 EUR (VAT incl.). The PETG refill spools can be bought here, one spool will cost you 26.99 USD / 27.99 EUR (VAT incl.) too.
Another option we had in our portfolio before (just not for that many different filaments) is the 2 kg spools. These don’t have the superb winding quality of the regular 1 kg spools but offer a convenient, cost-effective solution for large-scale 3D printing, such as in print farms.
New Prusament 2kg spool variants (from the left): PETG Urban Grey, PLA Galaxy Purple, PETG Signal White, PLA Army Green
The 2 kg spools will come in two new colors for PLA and two for PETG. PLA spools can be bought here, one spool will cost you 49.99 USD / 49.99 EUR (VAT incl.). And the PETG spools can be bought here, one spool will cost you 49.99 USD / 49.99 EUR (VAT incl.) too.
And that’s all…for now. We are looking forward to your feedback on the new Prusament products, and of course, photos of all the cool prints you made with the new anniversary PLA!
Happy printing!
LOL, most Prusament PLA colors were de facto sold out for all 2024, supplies are completely unreliable. It‘s NEVER available just in time. But thanks for 1000 very expensive extra spools of blue, I guess.
Yeah unfortunately it is often very hard to order filament. To save shipping costs you anyway want to have more in your order, there it is always annoying that filament colors are sold out.
Especially the bundles are hard to get, I never managed to order one as they are always sold out. The auto reminder doesn’t help, the bundles are directly sold out.
Would be easier to say order 5 and get one free.
I agree with the opinions here in the threads that the supply and timely replenishment at Prusa is not at all well mastered. They need to hire a more capable logistics guy. They are missing a lot of deals and don't give a damn. For years they have been unable to figure it out and have enough of everything in stock. They can't make predictions from past sales. Eventually people who would have bought the more expensive Prusament go elsewhere to buy other filament. When they find out that stock elsewhere is not a problem, they may not come back here.It made me print other manufacturers' filaments too and discover my favourite manufacturers. Holt if Prusa doesn't care about those xefts, that's their business. It's not common sense. And the icing on the cake is that even if you buy on the company, their delivery times are pretty lax in 2024 too. Despite that, when they have what I'm looking for in stock, I order because there are no problems with this filament and it's luxuriously wound. That's just the truth.
I agree that replenishment and parts availability is a valid concern, and reading through the post above this is addressed with future/in-process plans. I've copied the text below noting that there is no detailed timeline on steady stock. Looking forward to getting what I need in a timely fashion.

I still don’t get the point why they don’t sell all filaments in refills and only make the remaining parts of the spool optional for orders.
Once you have the side parts you keep them and if you checkmark it in the order you could order the side parts and assemble the spool out of the refill and the side parts. It could be as well an option to provide the stl of the side parts to print them.
@Headshaker: Too many people like the neatly wound spools more than the refill ones.
I would buy spools of this in a heartbeat if I could get reasonable US shipping prices
€34.99 inc VAT for a 2Kg spool would be wonderful, but it is not the price I see in the shop.
By far the best filiment I have used.. But the cost of shipping on top of the premium product price is just too much for my pocket right now.
I always love factory equipment photos. 🙂 Lots of trip hazards in the second photo though. Some of these might be a good investment: https://www.uline.com/BL_587/Cable-Protectors
