Prusament celebrates its 7th birthday! And with that, we have a small present for you, just like every year. This year, we manufactured orange PLA literally stuffed with gold glitter. We call it Prusament PLA Goldfish. But before we unwrap the present, we’d like to make a short recap of what happened during the last year. We’ve accomplished some amazing things that have taken the Prusament brand to another level.

What happened during the past year?

Since the entire Prusament manufacturing division moved to a huge new factory, our production rocketed. Over the last year, we launched an astonishing 21 new Prusaments (PC Space Grade and Noctua brand colors, for example), 5 new Prusament Resins and 4 new print sheets. We changed the whole spool design and successfully launched the OpenPrintTag initiative. And we’re still growing! We’d like to have a closer look at this year’s biggest milestones, but first, let’s give a proper welcome to our extraordinary Prusament, which you all came here for. 🙂

Prusament PLA Goldfish

This year, we chose a transparent orange PLA filled with gold glitter. Both the color and the filling are things you know very well and love: Orange is our signature color and one of the best-selling colors of Prusament, and glitter is something we like to use for giving filaments the special touch. And it seems like we’re doing it right, Prusament PLA Prusa Galaxy Black is the best-selling Prusament! But back to the Goldfish PLA. This Prusament contains so much glitter that there’s not much room to spare: if we added more, the glitter would fall from the filament, and it wouldn’t print properly. The result is a really fancy version of the signature Prusa Orange, but with an expansive holiday finish. The 3D printed models reflect light in a beautiful, slightly pearly way, and it may look like an orange fish scale under certain conditions. Thus the name: Goldfish.

Model: Goldfish by Prusament

This year, we manufactured 500 spools of this beautiful Prusament, and every spool has its unique number (1-500). If you like the color, get it before they’re gone! As for the price, one spool of Prusament PLA Anniversary LE 2025 Goldfish will cost you 47.99 USD (Import duties included) / 41.99 EUR (VAT incl.). To prevent scalpers from ruining the fun for everyone, each account can only buy one Prusament PLA Goldfish spool.

This year’s biggest milestones

As we said, a lot has happened during the past year. It’s a lot more than one would remember, so here’s a short recap of our biggest Prusament announcements.

In May, we launched our first flexible filament: Prusament TPU 95A. We started with Natural (white) color and added a Jet Black version this autumn. This filament excels in its dimensional accuracy, low moisture absorption, good bridging and overhang properties, and great mechanical properties even at sub-zero temperatures.

In June, we added the HT90 HighTemp Powder-coated Print Sheet to our portfolio. This sheet is made for printing with special high-temperature materials, such as PEEK, PEEK-CF, PEI, PEKK, and PPSU, which may otherwise have poor (or too strong) adhesion on standard steel sheets.

By the end of July, we launched Prusament PP Glass Fiber and Prusament resin Impact65. The PP Glass Fiber has outstanding chemical properties, useful in making custom laboratory equipment and similar applications that require extra heat and chemical resistance. Impact65 is a resin with Izod impact strength reaching 65 kJ/m2. This comes in handy for printing fragile models like action figures. There, the thin parts would bend instead of breaking.

At the end of September, we announced Prusament PC Space Grade Black: one of our most advanced materials. This Prusament has a significant overlap in science and engineering, as it’s made for affordable 3D printing for vacuum environments. It is suitable for printing components that can be used in space, vacuum chambers and more. We believe in this Prusament so much that it’s our first filament for which we have filed a patent application.

Then, in October, at Prusa Day, we launched the OpenPrintTag initiative. With this, we set the new trend in making smart spools. The OpenPrintTag is open source, reusable, and works entirely offline. Say goodbye to online databases and proprietary solutions. The OpenPrintTag is the new standard for everyone. With this action, we also launched a brand new and improved Prusament spool, which is equipped with the OpenPrintTag NFC and several other improvements. This is definitely something worth reading.

In November, we launched Prusament Resin Basic, which is an affordable SLA material for everyday use. It offers easy printability with fine detail, while maintaining an affordable price and the lowest possible toxicity. The material’s low price and ease of use make it perfect for rapid prototyping both at home and at work.

And just two days before the anniversary limited edition, we announced an amazing collaboration with Noctua: we released two new PLA colors, the Prusament PLA Noctua Brown and Prusament PLA Noctua Beige, which are a perfect fit for Noctua’s quiet cooling systems. No filament manufacturer is teaming up with a world-renowned brand and making their color available for anyone while being promoted by both sides. We see this as the next step in the Printables Brands initiative, where we wanted to bridge the gap between the off-the-shelf products you use every day and the 3D printer on your desk. Everyone can make anything in a stylish warm brown and beige color, fitting exactly the Noctua color portfolio.

All these huge leaps forward were followed by adding more and more colors to the Prusament portfolio.

What do you think? Was the year 2025 productive enough? Do you like our new anniversary Prusament? And is there any color you would like to see next year? Let us know in the comments.

Happy printing!
