Hi, this is just a quick update for my customers of people interested in Original Prusa i3 🙂

We print quietly now! One of a few reservations that one might have against my Original Prusa i3 could have been the noise level at times. We have worked on that and I can now proudly announce that the printer is now so silent that it can barely be heard.

All you need to do is as little as update firmware – and it works for all printers with Rambo Mini, 1.75 mm and older model 2.85 mm too. If you have not updated the firmware yet, there is a simple utility in drivers and the process only takes a couple of minutes. Just to make sure, the guide is here. With the upgrade you automatically get all the enhancements from previous versions – for instance the easy multicolored printing.

If your table resonates a lot and you would like to make the printer even quieter – you can now download our anti-vibration feet and place the printer on those.

And finally – this one only for the owners of the new 1.75 mm printer – I prepared settings for printing in 50 µm with PLA. With this quality you cannot practically see or feel the layers anymore with most pigments.

With the new drivers you will also install the new printable sample objects for 1.75 mm. You can place them on the SD card and print. We recommend 100 µm for the castle or 50 µm specifically for the forest frog.
