You can purchase up to four Assembled MK4s in a single order and still qualify for the special promotion. If you’re in North America, you can get the same deal from Printed Solid, our American distributor!

Please note that this promotion applies only to the assembled version of the Prusa MK4 3D printer. With the kit version of the MK4 you’ll receive a $100 voucher for future purchases (14 days after the order has been shipped).

These deals are intended for consumers, not resellers, and we reserve the right to cancel excessive orders. The purchase needs to be fully placed by the customer while the promotion is running. They cannot be subject to price quotes, purchase orders, and similar.

The reliability of our printers and extended warranty

One of the key strengths of all our Original Prusa 3D printers is their incredible reliability. After all, we use our printers to print parts for more printers in our production. I’ve mentioned it several times before, but it really is a massive advantage to operate the world’s largest 3D printing farm. Thanks to 24/7 heavy use, we are the first to discover what parts wear out the fastest, improve them before the machine is even released to the public, and even then we continuously keep improving it over its lifetime.

There are many other factors when it comes to reliability – such as vertical integration. We are now manufacturing many critical parts directly in our HQ in Prague, in the heart of the European Union. For example, our in-house SMT line is used both for prototyping, but also full-scale production of all MK4/XL/MINI PCBs. All the different factors combined lead to our incredible warranty claim rate below 2 %, where the majority of reported issues are caused by shipping damage. Other typical issues we solve with our customers during warranty include earlier-than-expected wear of bearings, smooth rods, or thermistors. In rare cases where a simple part replacement won’t do, we typically replace the entire printer with a new one, which also allows our engineers to investigate the problem in greater detail.

Once the warranty period ends, we still offer the same level of support for all our customers. Whether it’s providing replacement parts or repairing your printer at our service center, the only difference is that customers now need to purchase the replacement parts, and repair services are provided for a fee plus the cost of shipping.

Everything about our printers is designed to be easily accessible and repairable. I have many friends who still happily use their old MK2s (introduced in 2016!) even today, and they don’t forget to remind me of this all the time. 🙂

Extended Warranty

Over the years, we’ve received many requests to offer extended warranty for our printers. To have peace of mind that all parts including shipping would be covered longer than the standard warranty provides. We’ve listened to your feedback and are excited to announce that we now offer an extended warranty option!

You can extend the coverage for up to 2 additional years beyond the original warranty period. Just like our standard warranty, this extended option ensures that any problems encountered during use will be swiftly addressed by our team. The process for claiming under the extended warranty remains identical to warranty claims.

The extended warranty is now available for 11 products: MK4 Kit, MK4 Assembled, XL 1-tool, XL 2-tool, XL 5-tool, MINI/+ semi assembled, MINI/+ assembled, SL1/S, CW1/S, SL1/S bundle, MK3/4 Enclosure. The extended warranty cannot be purchased separately at this time, but we are planning to open the option to purchase it during the first few weeks after the order is completed.

I believe that by offering this extended warranty, we reinforce our commitment to producing reliable, high-quality printers and ensure that you continue to enjoy the best possible experience with your Original Prusa 3D printer, even years after your initial purchase.

Discounted XL and MINI Enclosure bundles

We are now starting to offer XL Enclosure bundle, with the MINI Enclosure bundle coming next week. This means you can get a better deal when you decide to purchase the printer with an enclosure right away.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your overwhelming interest in the XL Enclosure! At one point, the lead times increased to 12 weeks because the demand far exceeded our estimates. We have good news, though! In collaboration with our suppliers, we managed to bump up the production capacity significantly. The wait time for new orders is now down to 5-6 weeks.
